Where to stay in Ljubljana: best hotel & hostel choices

One of the hardest things for me is choosing a place to stay when going to a new city. Since I haven’t visited, it’s hard to imagine distances and locations by looking at places on Google Maps because I never know where I will end up spending most of my time. And since I had this struggle before going to Ljubljana, I am posting some info about accommodation that I hope you find useful.

During my stay there, I changed four different places: 2 hotels and 2 hostels. The two hotels in question – Hotel Park and hotel Bit-Center turned out to be symbolic for Ljubljana and depending on your personal travelling style I strongly recommend choosing either one of them.

Hotel Park

Park Hotel, Ljubljana

Ljubljana is perhaps one of the greenest places I have seen in my life and Hotel Park is a symbol of that and not only. It is in the vibrant heart of the city – a place where local business people go for lunch and where you can have an amazing view in the centre of the city. I loved my stay in this hotel where it is all about the people – both the guests and the locals living around. If you are eco-oriented and want to surround yourself with modern, like-minded people from all domains (business and leisure travellers), make sure you check out this link for more info.

Hotel Bit-Center

Are you into sports and keeping fit? If so, that’s your place! Bit-Center isn’t simply a hotel that has a fitness. It’s more of a fitness that has a hotel. Don’t worry, you won’t be overwhelmed by the sports activities it offers, but you’ll have the comfort to follow the schedule you’ve created without having to compromise. If that’s what you’re looking for, check this link.

Hostels in Ljubljana (coming soon!)

Now, in all honesty, I am not into hostels. Or should I say I wasn’t… I like my privacy, and I LOVE comfort but since everyone is talking about the experience of staying in a hostel as a different lifestyle choice I, as a travel blogger, was obliged to check it out. One thing I quickly found out is that staying in a hostel in Ljubljana is not a compromise – places are insanely clean! Besides, it seems that hostels in Ljubljana are all thematic, and each place has its very own cool vibe. So if you enjoy hostel experience and plan on booking a hostel for your Ljubljana tour, check the two places I stayed at (link coming soon).
